New Year!

Well, it's a new year!!! =D And that means that I'm 22 years now =\. I hope all have a wonderful weekend!

   Sorry for not updating! My working practice continues so I'm still very busy. Anyway, I have something to show a little =)

   Yeah, here is a guy! For a long time, this is the first time when I like how it turned out. Men drawing are not so usual to me, it's hard to catch a good facial proportions -.-
   I so much love when you can see brush strokes in paintings, so I tried to make it painterly, feel like I wouldn't want to use color blending for ever!












   And here a picture ( actually they are not very new), where I tried to use some of styles. It was so fun and easy! I have one epic idea to illustrate in this style. I hope I can realize it someday.

P. S. The next few months I will concentrate on the study of anatomy, so do not be surprised if you see some nude paintings for study here, he-he =P

goodbye Hogwarts

Just a quick sketch, after watching the movie. I'm not a fan of Harry Potter, but I'm sad that this story is over. It's part of childhood after all!

Looks like I have not updated the deviantart for ages! Time to get myself to finish some drawings, heh =)

Spring day

I got working practices at the university so I'm very busy again. My little weekend I spend on the study of Maya, because my new animated short film is ready to move into a stage production, some wip's will be up soon.
But today I found time to finish that little picture, which started a few weeks ago :).

well, the new year

Sorry for the slow update. I was too busy with some projects, exams and real life. I try to come back online but very slowly because it still have a lot of things uncompleted.
I finished one of my illustration. It took me too much time, more then 30 hours i think. Here some close ups and steps.
I think I was a little crazy decided to draw detailed trees, heh

grayscale

I completed this portrait of a little bit.

Sometimes when I paint something, I see that something is wrong but I can not understand the problem, and no matter what I was doing the wrong thing does not change for the better. The same happened with this painting.
But now I know, I just sometimes lose control of the tone and the only way to see the mistakes is to convert the image to grayscale, or put on the top layer of a white/black fill and set the blending mode to "color". The strange thing I knew about this simple method, but never used .. argh. Now I've learned and added a layer with a white fill in each new work.


I promised to upload a video process, but I do not like it anymore. I will record something more simple and better next time.

Some new after a long silence.

Don't update here for a long time. October was a bit difficult because of exams, but now I'm a little more free to create some personal work and to learn some things.
I think it's time to start practicing a traditional art, especially in oil painting. I did it last year, but I stopped due to some reasons, so I need to start it again. Finally, I'm going to paint a portrait of my grandfather this weekend, he asked me about it for so long.
Here, a small watercolor. I did it last week, it must be something like a poster for my next animated film (start to do it only next summer I think), I tried to catch the atmosphere of this. I usually work from dark to light, so the watercolor is hard but interesting :)






The picture below is a concept character for my student's work, they had to be converted into 3D. But this time I have a completely different idea for a student's work.

And yes, I study the Maya, I think most of the basics already learned. Absolutely love this program. Btw I will do one of these characters in Maya, for the study.

Image below is a very spontaneous thing. I wanted to draw something on Halloween, but I have no good ideas yet. So here 2 portraits (again). The picture on the left was unsuccessful, too big eyes that would be seen a pumpkin in the eye. Portrait on the right I like more, but it has no idea. I recorded the process of this drawing, will put it soon on YouTube.


And the last is also a spontaneous drawing I'm working on. Finished in a few days =).

ooh don't like spontaneous things. I need to finish what is planned at first, but I can not control it sometimes -.-

painting without pain, such things happen?

I bought intuos4 last week, wow, I feel that I killed my hand all these years with my very old tablet. Now I just can not tear myself away from a new tablet and I really could paint all day and not feel pain, is happiness!
I played a little with the program Corel Painter Sketch PAD and finished one of the sketches.



I'm trying to find other ways to create animations on the computer because I have always used the Tvpaint animation but it lacks some very important tools (or I just do not know about them). So here a little and very rough test. I'm trying to combine PaintTool SAI and Photoshop, still not perfect and it is very difficult to calculate the timing (. Maybe I need to think about some other program hmmm...

аааа... я должна прекратить рисовать и закончить "Боба", но я не могу остановиться! А ещё мне очень-очень нравится записывать видео с процессом, так что вот, тут много всякого =)
... и Emancipator пишет шикарную музыку, очень вдохновляет последнее время. ^^

Я рада что 2009 год закончился, он был каким-то совсем сложным, хотя довольно продуктивным. В новом году хочется совсем избавиться от лени и, наконец, начать изучать Майю. У меня просто гигантское количество планов на 2010 год, надо всё успеть...
С Новым Годом! Надеюсь вы были счастливы в эти выходные... я была ;)

ENG/ I am glad that 2009 has ended, it was very difficult, though very productive. In the new year I want to get rid of laziness and start learning Maya. I have huge plans for 2010, I must catch all.
